A Van Bush Game
Live . Thrive . Survive
______________________________________________________________________________
VHEL is a survival adventure game set in world known as Nor Prime. It follows the exploits of a young Bhacrio girl named Khana Faust, who undergoes strange metaphysical changes from a parasite known as VHEL, originally used as a means to power a destructive anomaly known as Skull over 13 years ago. As Khana, the player will explore the continent of Ivara in a rudimentary day to day simulation of her life as a courier for two complete season’s, or a half year. During this time, players are introduced to a wide array of characters, situations, and events that not only challenges the player’s own modern perception of life, but also the player’s own morality and fortitude. As with this, the player is also encouraged to learn about the world from as many sources as possible to further come to understand the rapidly changing events taking place in Nor Prime (I.E. the fall of the Reaver Society, EDOC‘s deterioration, the true purpose of VHEL, etc.). With the focus on player driven progression and involvement, VHEL not only eliminates the lesser commodities such as menus and the use of a HUD, but intensively focuses on complete player immersion and cinematic presentation -- both being the forefront of VHEL’s design and uniqueness.

For many reasons, VHEL was meant to serve as a game with an indiscrete point of view about good or bad, male or female, morality or logic, etc.. People, in truth, aren’t branded as pure evil or never being the type to do bad things. Although these stereotypes do exist, its not uncommon to know someone who’s gone down a bad road and has changed for the better, likewise for someone with a good heart forced or willingly doing bad things to others. That was the preconceived notion behind most of the characters and their motivations. To add in player driven game play that actively allows the player to alter the point of view of other characters therefore breaks the line between good or bad morality. This is VHEL’s entire aim and goal, to allow the player and the game itself to be affected by the choices and decisions one makes to the other -- otherwise known as the Symbiosis Effect during internal development.

E.C. 000 E.C. 000, otherwise known as EDOC’s Creation, was the beginning of EDOC’s establishment in Nor Prime and the first documented year within a physical calendar. Although small at the time, EDOC was founded by dedicated scholars and chosen delegates to create a stable government within the almost lawless societies of the world. Lead by Alter Seth, EDOC had soon grew into a recognizable organization with an unheard of amount of support in Marlu. This era lasted for 1,800 years until the beginning of the Reaver Society in R.E. 1.

R.E. 330
14 years ago, EDOC, the greatest syndicate known throughout Nor Prime, was on the verge of anarchy. 330 years prior, it had created an internal military and research organization called the Reaver Society. The society’s purpose was to understand the true potential and beneficial attributes of the Ragnic and also eliminate them as well. Through varies methods, the Reaver Society was able to understand the very inner workings of the Ragnic and were soon able to turn the Ragnic’s own strengths against them.
A.R. 13
The world of Nor Prime has changed since the fall of the Reaver Society. EDOC has lost its interest in true global genocide of the Ragnic and has instead used its available towers as a way to allude the problem entirely. More Coming Soon...

V H E L has a growing roster of characters on display. Each one of them bring something new to the table including problems, morally conflicted issues, and their own personality. Most, if not all, of the characters in V H E L can be summed up as crazy, but hey, thats just the type of world Nor Prime is.
Khana Faust Khana Faust is a 19 year old, Ragnic smart, Bhacrio courier with a bad reputation for telling crude jokes, being completely self-centered, and never using manners. She knows she's a disgrace, but she's embraced her rather fool hearted side with opened arms, just like most Bhacrio her age would. Commonly known as "Notorious Nefarious" in the Trade, Khana's optimism and Meo generation attitude have made her a well known and favorable courier in Ivara. She specializes in the Bhacrio fighting art of Tomo Ye and knows more about how to fight Ragnic and live around them then most people do. There are very few things she believes she cannot accomplish on her own, but even she isn't aware of her true self, her other half. Beyond this however, Khana is a laidback, tranquil, and fun loving kind of girl to get to know -- too bad she never shows it without opening her smart mouth. Like Khana, Nolan is an excelled courier with just as much notoriety as Notorious Nefarious herself -- he's even the same age as her. He believes in fair play and generally does the thinking for everyone -- hence the nickname “Propitious Equilibria”. Nolan has had a rough life growing up. He used to live in North EDOC, Marlu and spent a majority of his time with the U’sara family. After unfortunate events however, Nolan’s family moved to West EDOC, Ivara, after his father, Haze Vauldergear, was sent to Anchor Point, after being charged for conspiracy. Nolan wanted to make something out of his life, and strangely, he chose to follow the day and the life of a courier. Under Mace’s watch, and Khana’s forced rivalry, Nolan shed his peace loving ways and became a roughneck courier with the scars to match. He doesn’t like to reminisce about his former life before West EDOC, but since he’s normally telling jokes -- some bad -- its hard for one to ask.
Nolan Vauldergear
Cassidy Orin Reynoldia (Casie)
Casie is a steadfast, 21 year old Humari with a rather bad attitude problem. Unlike Khana, she's more low key and least likely to go into a situation without a plan in mind. Following very closely to her people's tradition's, the Humari, she takes personal pride in herself and spites others for not trying as hard as she does -- espeically when she's around Khana and Nolan. Without much provocation, Casie has committed herself to EDOC as one of the few freelance biomurrologist willing to fix towers that have shown signs of decay over the years after the Reaver era. Even though her family has been apart of EDOC since the earlier centuries, her rebellious nature and realist mindset keep her from following the same path her family has gone. Currently, she lives with Khana, in a dormitory, with her pet biyx, Plagues.
Mace Faust
Mace Faust is Khana's courier chief and all time favorite uncle (he's her only uncle). Although he's too old for the running and panting related to courier life, he's let Khana and Nolan handle all the dirty work while he's usually getting himself drunk at the local pub, in West EDOC. However, Mace is a walking Bhacrio idol full of experience, charm, strength, and valor. His great body size and easy to spot bald head have made him the center of Khana’s immature jokes since she was 5 years old. Mace, in truth though, was once a great Reaver Elite. Even more shocking is the fact that he fought a Ragnic Manta a lived to tell the tale -- an admirable feat considering how terrifying Mantas are. As of the moment, he's married to a Humari women named Pauleen.
Pauleen Faust
Pauleen Faust is Mace‘s newlywed wife. Although she is of Humari blood, her interest in Mace has escalated since the previous year. Since that time, Mace has had to try his hardest not to go to brothels or start up old habits of leisurely desire. Pauleen, in general, has a bubbly attitude, and often times will approach Khana for personal advice. In comparison to Khana, she’s less competent within the field of couriering, but nether the less, she has a heart more pure than any woman Mace has ever come across. As of the moment, she carries on secretarial duties in Faust Courier to organize the unorganized shop.
Flo Kor’Nomah
As delusional as she is attractive, famed Flo Kor'Nomah is supsicious women with various interest in Faust Courier -- espeically in Khana. 40% of the time, she's drunk, 30% of the time, she's smoking. The remaining 30% of her time is spent on flirting and gropping people she finds of interest, or so she has told. At all times, she is accompanied by two DESO, Koji and Deigo, who speak outwardly about eating anything in sight, but always ask "Mother" for permission -- Mother being Flo. Flo isn't exactly the smartest person to talk to, but strangely, she has a tendancy to raise more questions about herself and her intentions then one would first think.
